Overview:

Since we started this project back in 2012 we already made huge leaps in the development of our visionary product: a sub-orbital spaceship for private owners and commercial use. At the moment, this is a purely privately funded endeavour. In the future, the commercial possibilities for serial production of this concept will be tested. When succesful, our customers will also be provided with the necessary infrastructure and service products. At this point in time, we define ourselves as a private space plane manufacturer.

B-A/X-1 “SOL ASPIRET”

Imagine owning your own spaceship, like a yacht anchoring in harbor – but your destiny will be the stars.

Thanks to our project B-A/X-1 this dream can come true. The B-A/X-1 is a suborbital space plane which combines the trademarks of a jet with those of a rocket.

The SSTO (single-stage-to-orbit) principle

One of the most important fundamentals of our concept is working with just a single stage. This means that unlike most rockets, our space plane will not start different engine-stages in sequence and the drop the engine stage but it will only use a single integrated rocket stage. This is why SOL ASPIRET is equipped with two jet engines and a hybrid rocket engine.

The rocket engine is being developed under the name SOL BREAKER ROCKET ENGINE will produce a maximum boost of 90 kN and will burn for about 80 seconds. A first prototype of our own SOL BREAKER ROCKET ENGINE will be released for testing soon.

The jet engines have not yet been decided upon but we already narrowed down our choice to some of our favored options.

In flight

SOL ASPIRET takes off just like a normal jetplane, powered by two jet engines. After about 35 to 45 minutes, you will reach a height of about 15,000 meters. Manual control can now be switched to fully automated computer control. The central computer will check all systems and then switch off the jet engines. The space plane now slowly descends. If all important factors check out safely, the rocket engine will fire up. With nearly 3,700 kilometers per hour, you will vertically ascend and then continue on ballistically until reaching the karman-line (per definition about 100 km above the ground). This is the very line that separates airflight from spaceflight. Enjoy a couple of minutes in space! With a slow spiral-motion, your descent will start. After re-entry, you can finish your flight gliding back home or by reactivating the jet-engines for a controlled flight.
